She holds a degree in Economics and Business Studies from the University of Alcalá (Madrid).
She is a member of the Professional Association of Economists of Madrid and a member of the Register of Forensic Economists (REFor) of the Spanish General Council of Economists.
Lorena Gómez completed her studies with an intensive postgraduate course on the regulation of financial institutions in Spain and international regulations on financial information. She is currently preparing her doctoral thesis on management accounting in the banking sector.
She is the General Manager of the firm’s Consultancy Department. She has worked at Mansolivar since its foundation, and specialises in advising on the application of international accounting regulations, regulations concerning the solvency of financial institutions and financial markets, and regulations on prevention and money laundering.
She has advised several listed banks and savings banks on the application of accounting regulations, and has contributed to the development and updating of the accounting information systems of various leading financial institutions in order to adapt them to international accounting regulations. She has been involved in training for general auditing of the leading Spanish bank for several years.
Among other institutions, she teaches at EFA (Analistas Financieros Internacionales) as an associate lecturer, and she works on a regular basis with the International Financial Training Centre of the University of Alcalá and the Banco de Santander (Fundación Banco Santander Universidad de Alcalá).
She contributes articles to scientific journals in her specialist field and writes in the economic press.
